I post more!
We wanted to go out tonight, because we won't have a chance to see the house until next Wednesday (at the earliest)! We knew that there was paint, and tile started. When we walked in the front door... it immediately felt like home. Anyone who visited my old house will know what I'm talking about the second they see the below picture!
Katelyn (above) is sitting on our piles and piles of wood flooring! The big hole above the fire place is a grand scheme concucted by Jared. Some day (in the distant future), he is going to build some sort of bracket that will move a picture frame (which will be hung over the big hole). Behind the picture frame will be a big TV. I just spent almost $400 today ordering a custom frame that will cover that hole! He wasn't happy about the expense. I told him that since he cut a big hole in my living room wall, he'd have to deal with it!
Below is looking toward the kitchen area and the bedroom & office. No cabinets, but I was told today that they are going to be installed Monday!!! YES! I was ALSO told that our counter tops will be in in about 2 weeks! Score 2 for the team!
That yellow looking glow... is actually orange. And that is the color of my kids room/future photo studio.
Brace your self... this is REALLY ORANGE.
Spiced Nectarine to be exact...
And, yes. It really is that orange. Oranger probably...
Then there is this... um... green glow coming from this area...
You better believe that is the Master Bedroom, Bwhaaaaaaa haaaaaa...
I can't make this stuff up...
And, yes. It really is THAT green. Greener probably!!!
My grand plan is to decorate with cremes and browns... and I'm thinking it will really look awesome with some furniture. And carpet. Right now it's a bit overwhelming... haha... but I think it's awesome.
Here is some yummy travertine...
A garage door. Picture me jumping up and down while giggling and clapping...
Have you ever seen an air conditioner unit this big??????????? Holy Crap!
Okay, I guess it's hard to tell the size in this picture. But I could probably rest my elbows on the top and not even have to slouch!
This picture features what Katelyn told me was a dead RAT.
It turns out... it was a dead BAT! Way cooler than a dead rat...
Rock for accents on the outside of the house, as well as the fire place.
Pillaged "Gas Line" Flag. (It was just laying on the ground, so don't get too worried).
Cool, non photoshopped picture of a rain storm on Pine Valley Mtn.
Cool, non photoshopped picture of sun breaking through the rain clouds:
When I explain to people where our house is... I always say it's off of the 16th green of the golf course. Here is a pictorial explanation of what I mean...
Standing in the same spot, with the same focal length on my lens, here is the view of Jared chatting with the security guy in front of our house...
Turning 180 degrees (give or take a few degrees I guess ;) You see this:
Does any one else think it's crazy that it can be completely clear facing one direction, and super duper cloudy the other direction? That's the desert for ya! And we've been having the strangest monsoonal weather lately!
So, NO we aren't EXACTLY next to the 16th green. But we aint far from it either!
And while I'm here blogging. Here is pictorial proof that the wedding cake is finished, boxed, and ready to go to SLC. It is in 4 separate pieces for the trip, and will be assembled on location. So here! Proof that it's DONE!
And one last picture, because I think it is cool. When we were leaving our new house... this is what the rain storm on Pine Valley looked like!
I wouldn't want to be hiking in that!
