They came... and I couldn't resist.
4 of us are now wearing Crocs... Jocelyn knew exactly what had come in the mail. The big "CROCS" logo on the side of the box sort of gave it away. She wanted to see them & try them on. And I wouldn't let her. But then after 10 minutes of pestering... I gave in. I gave her the shoes, and then told her that she wouldn't have anything from me to open on her birthday. To this she replied, "That's okay... my friends will bring me presents..." She drives me batty...
I think Calvin loves them the most.
There is nothing cuter than a skinny little boy, wandering around in nothing but a diaper & celery green crocs...

I'm on a kick of things I love... This is something that I have been wanting for awhile... Crocs. Real Crocs. Don't ask me why.
Last week I bought 4 pairs of Crocs from Crocs.com. I got a pair for me and my 3 kids. I'm posting this today, because Mr. FedEx is supposed to pay me a much welcomed visit today! I think I'm more excited about getting them for my kids. But I won't have pictures to post for awhile because I plan on giving Jocelyn hers on her birthday. Which is NEXT week. I might go ahead and give them to Calvin and Katelyn. I had planned on buying them for their birthdays (which already happened)... but I couldn't find the sizes/colors in town that I wanted. Of course I'll get mine immediately!
These are the colors I got.
Jared didn't get any because he doesn't like them. Plus he just got a new pair of Chaco's.

Love these sunglasses. Not specifically the ones I'm wearing... but the brand in general. They are called black flys and you can find them here. The pair in the picture are pretty scratched, and I don't wear them often. I'm thinking about doing some investing in a new pair...
I really want these... but HOLY COW! I don't have that kind of $$! Maybe for my birthday (which isn't for 6 months, LOL!)

We made leis.
Leis are Hawaiian garlands made of flowers. Usually orchids, plumeria or lehua blossoms. We have none of these. But we wanted to make leis all the same... So we picked flowers off of our oleander shrubs. Call me a bad parent if you must. Oleander is one of the most poisonous plants and contains numerous toxic compounds. Many of which can be deadly to people, especially young children if ingested. Which is actually why they wore them with great supervision. We had our fun. We made the leis and wore them until they wilted. Then we threw them away. Jocelyn loves leis made of fake flowers, and was flabergasted at the thought that you could actually make them from real flowers. Very very fun!
And if you were wondering... I did some playing with the picture in Photoshop Elements. A fun look I thought.
I also did a scrapbook layout for the Bigi Digi contest at scrapbook.com using pictures taken from this day. You can see it here.

I actually began this post a few days ago. I had completed the post and pushed my "save" button to publish my post. Then my computer/Internet did wacky things, and I lost my entire post. It was pretty lengthy, with adorable pictures too! I didn't feel like re-posting that second... mostly because I was mad... and it's taken me this long to sit back down...
So, here we go again!
Katelyn for her birthday got the cutest presents from my mom. On her birthday, she got another Kitchen Fairy to add to her collection. My mom got her this one. You can see the one that I used on her cake here. This one was on her first birthday cake, and my mom got her this one for Christmas. She's getting quite the collection!
The evening of Katelyn's birthday, we got a knock on our door from the UPS gift deliver... delivering presents for Kate. My mom sent 2 things from Target.com. She sent this wheelbarrow & this garden tote.
My mom had also sent a card with $20. Quite a haul for a 3 year old!
The day after her birthday, I took her to the local nursery to buy some plants. She wanted to plant flowers using her new tools! So she picked out some perennials and some potting soil. She spent about $6, and I spent about $10 on Canna's (which I still need to plant in the ground).
When we got home, her and Jocelyn planted some flowers in pots. Katelyn used the pots that came with her presents. Cute little plastic blue pots. Jocelyn used some extra pots that I had hanging around the garage. After the flowers were planted and watered... Katelyn placed the leftovers in her wheelbarrow and took them to a flower bed of mine to plant there. She planted and watered the rest of the plants and was mighty proud of herself.
Best birthday choice ever. Thanks mom!

By popular request from my family... here are more pictures of Katelyn on her birthday. Right now is the first time I've had a chance to sit down all weekend to upload my pictures. I have some really cute ones of Kate & Jocelyn playing with another present given by my mom. That will have to wait until tomorrow's post.

A friend of mine was asking me where to find digital scrapbooking supplies. I told her that I would just compile a list of places that she could start looking, and post them on my blog. So here's my list of places that I love to shop!
Free Stuff to Download:
** indicates an AWESOME place to get digi stuff!!!!! Stuff that I couldn't live without.
If you have another really cool digital shop to add, please leave the address in my comments so that I can add it to the list!

I am quoting this from a friend:
Hello, my name is Krissy (aka Rodeeogrl on scrapbook.com). I am logged onto mom's account to let you all know,
Today mom called me in tears as she was watching her home... everything she has worked so incredibly hard for.. burn down. Thank God she was not home when it started. At the time I'm writing this, the fire inspectors had not yet allowed mom back into the house, but we are guessing it is a total loss. They think the fire originated in her bedroom, then moved throughout the rest of her home. She lost everything. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, her brand new washer and dryer, her Hummel collection, cricut, stamps, PRIMAS, papers and of course, all of her beautiful scrapbook pages. I am stuck in Colorado right now, unable to get to her right away. (have to plan when you have two little ones). Anyway, I was wondering if the kind people here would be able to or want to help out. First and foremost, she needs your prayers and your positive thoughts! I was hoping that those who know her or were ever inspired by her work may want to scrap a card for her, letting her know that you are thinking about her? And if any of you possibly had ANY scrap materials etc. that you may be able to spare - ANYTHING would be a great help. She has after-all lost every single bit of her scrap supply. We would so greatly appreciate it. If anyone would like to help with a card, or scrap donation please PLEASE P.M. me and I will give you my address. Once I get everything together, I will be either TAKING it or sending it to her. Thank you all in advance for your very sweet thoughts, and prayers!
I've set up an account to take donations for her. With the donated money, I will either send a check to help her get back on her feet... or depending on the amount donated, send her a gift certificate to an on-line scrapbooking store to help her replenish her supply! Thanks for any help and support in advance!
